Multiplexer – Triplexer
This triplexer utilizes three output ports which contain three different types of filters, lowpass, high pass, and bandpass. The three ports work simultaneously to maintain their respective specifications per filter type.
This particular triplexer is fairly large coming in at 9 inches in length. This particular devices requires Power handling capabilities which leads to some design adjustments to meet the desired specifications. Each channel holds the same insertion loss of less than 1.1 dB and greater than 14 dB return loss across the passbands. The isolation between channels is the shining factor between this though, because it holds 60 dB isolation between the three provided channels. Due to the nature of the power handling capabilities and the relatively high operating frequency range, this particular triplexer contains some parasitic communication amongst components that is addressed in the tuning and assembly stage.
